My work provides a point of entry into a lifelong investigation of personal and societal introversion, pathological consumption, and the basic impulse to seek wealth and security in an oligarchic society.
I explore selfish behavior and consumptive imbalance through repetitive, performative experiments that mimic the consumptive spaces, materials, actions and psychology of common behavior. I often visit consumptive sites (a restaurant, casino, school, arena, home, etc.) to study actions and the objects on/with these actions are carried out. I then construct a complex layering of ideas and mediums crossing a variety of aesthetic/conceptual movements, styles and forms.
